Quake 2
Quake 2, the sequal to Quake, is similar to not very similar to quake at all.
It is based on a new, supurior graphics engine that makes quake look like
wolfenstein. It has the QuakeWorld-style
multiplayer capabilities built in, and it has a continuous level style of single
player gameplay. More specifically, you don't stop and review your scores
between levels anymore, and you can sometimes travel back and forth between levels at
will.
Quake 2 is everything it was expected to be. It's lifelike, super-fast,
super-gory game play that supports as many as 64 players in deathmatches.
What else could you ask for? Id Software must know, because they're already
working on a better game...
